Please get in touch to discuss your needs.
I am a qualified talking therapist, cognitive hypnotherapist, NLP practitioner and mediator with more than ten years experience of helping people with a wide range of problems. I specialise in confidence, anxiety and performance issues.
Our approach is holistic and tailored to each individual's needs. By identifying what you are struggling with, what you want instead and helping you to work towards your goals, I act as a facilitator to enable you to access your full potential, help you to find your solutions and move forward.
I have two horses and have competed my ‘super cob’ at regional and national levels. I have known the ups and downs of owning and riding horses over the past 30 years: I have worked through my own confidence issues and have, like most riders, overcome a variety of problems following a range of incidents and injuries.
For ridden work and horsemanship issues, we can work locally with your own trainer or with other instructors such as Jackie Selway - a listed British Dressage judge who has also run a successful livery business for over 40 years. She has competed at both regional and national levels in dressage, show jumping and eventing. She is an experienced, sympathetic, focused trainer and mentor, teaching flatwork and jumping at all levels.
We also have access to a network of trusted equine professionals who can help further and we will be working to develop an additional rider assistance hub.
Some testimonials from previous clients:
“Jenny has such depth of intuition, knowledge and understanding. She seems to 'get you' very quickly and recognises the reasons, meanings and the path ahead so that you feel, whatever is troubling you, you are in very safe hands. I left the sessions with a sense of validation and the knowledge that I am not only capable of change but excited about it.”
"I had seriously lost my nerve following a serious fall from my very lively horse who, sadly, is no longer with us. So, having had horses all my life I wanted to get back riding.
Despite my new horse being sweet, he does spook and so it’s been a huge battle just getting on. The spooks are big and for seven months I have just been a passenger.
Jenny was recommended to me and my mother was a hypnotherapist so I know it can work.
My first session was great - giving me some building blocks to control the fear and anxiety.
After this session I rode out on my own and cantered out on a hack which were huge steps for me!
My second session was just before my first competition with this horse. I do have a very good bunch of people supporting me and my trainer goes above and beyond but I needed something more. Well, nerves were definitely still there at the competition but I used my building blocks from my session with Jenny and came home with a rosette for 2nd place and a score of 70%+ in the dressage.
I still have moments but the work with Jenny means I can call on the building blocks and use them to get through.
I highly recommend anyone suffering with anxiety to try hypnotherapy with Jenny.
If I start feeling like I did, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back .
Lovely lady so caring and helpful."
"Jenny is a wonderfully calm and empathetic lady who has a unique ability to gently guide you to a new place where you’ll wonder what your problem was in the first place! Highly recommended."
